I would like to welcome you all to our school website which gives a flavour of some of the exciting activities happening in the school. In Scoil Bhríde we cherish each child as an individual and we strive to develop their spiritual, intellectual, artistic, physical, emotional and social potential. We believe that a broad balanced educational experience within a caring environment promotes positive attitudes towards learning. This enables each of our pupils to recognise their talents and achieve their full potential. The pupils are always encouraged to live up to our school motto …’be the best that you can be’.
While the provision of a sound foundation in all curricular areas is always a priority in Scoil Bhríde, events such as Grandparents Day, Communion, Confirmation, Breakfast Morning, Sports Day, and Handball Competitions are also a huge part of our school life. These events are eagerly looked forward to by the pupils and enhance their school lives immeasurably.
We are lucky to work in a well-equipped school with fantastic playing facilities. We have very spacious grounds, including a full size juvenile football pitch, a new state of the art astro pitch and a handball alley. Our proximity to the community centre allows us to use this wonderful facility for PE and Drama activities.
I am extremely grateful for the hard work and support of our parents, pupils, teachers, special needs assistants, secretary, caretaker, cleaners, Board of Management, Parents’ Association and the wider community of Fourmilehouse who make our school the warm and welcoming school that it is today. We recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children and look forward to working in partnership with them over the coming years for the benefit of the pupils.
