Winter Wonderland

We have all been enjoying the icy conditions here on the top of the hill in Fourmilehouse. The children from 6th class constructed a snowman from tyres (supplied by Castle Street Tyre Centre), we hope it doesn’t melt and lasts until Christmas Day! The children from Junior Infants built their very own Christmas Tree from recycled boxes – the result is amazing. Meanwhile, Iggy, ‘The Elf on the Shelf’ has been very troublesome for the boys and girls in 1st and 2nd class, not to mention their teacher Mrs. Flannery. The pupils in 3rd and 4th class have been very busy weaving and making Christmas Stockings in preparation for Christmas. In Senior Infants the students have been learning about the birth of Baby Jesus and have designed their own winter scenes – budding artists you will agree! No Christmas is complete without a visit from ‘The Grinch’ and using inspiration from the famous Dr. Seuss character, the 5th class pupils created their own impressions of this likeable rogue!
