Sharing and Caring

At Scoil Bhríde we understand the importance of ‘giving back’ to the community and instill this in our pupils through supporting  different charities annually. Not only does this benefit the various charities we support but is a wonderful opportunity for our students to develop their skills, character, relationships and confidence.

We take part in ‘Cheerios’ breakfast morning where all funds raised go to ‘Childline’. Each Halloween we participate in ‘The Shoebox Appeal’ so children less fortunate will have a gift on Christmas Day.

In the spirit of ‘giving’ at Christmas the children bring in non-perishable foods and fill boxes of goodies for The St. Vincent de Paul society for distribution. We also go ‘Christmas Carolling’ and sing carols  to our elderly neighbours living in the cluster of houses adjacent to our school.

Grandparents Day is another example of how children, at Scoil Bhríde, learn the importance of being kind and caring as they chaperone and look after their Grandparents on this special day each February.
