We welcome spring and celebrate St Brigid’s Day each year during Catholic Schools Week. The senior children make St Brigid’s crosses which are blessed at a special mass. The highlight of the week is Grandparents’ Day where our Grandparents visit the school to be entertained by their grandchildren and observe the many projects and activities the children are involved in. The pupils from 5th and 6th class interview their grandparents and discuss what school was like when they were young. The children then give them a St Brigid’s Cross as a little gift to mark their visit and to keep this tradition alive.
